What data is stored

Focus Guard stores the following information exclusively in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local):

• Your blocked and allowed site lists
• Focus session history (date, duration, distraction count) — last 90 sessions
• All-time focus statistics and per-site block counts
• Schedule settings (time and duration)

Where your data goes

Nowhere. Focus Guard has no backend server, no analytics service, no cloud sync, and no user accounts. All data is written to and read from your local browser storage only. It never leaves your device.

Third-party services

Focus Guard does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers.

Permissions used

Focus Guard requests the following Chrome permissions and uses them solely for the features described:

• storage — saves your settings and session history locally
• declarativeNetRequest — blocks or allows websites during a focus session
• alarms — ends sessions on time and triggers your daily schedule
• tabs — redirects already-open blocked tabs when a session starts
• notifications — sends session start and streak milestone alerts

How to delete your data

You can clear all Focus Guard data at any time by uninstalling the extension from Chrome. This permanently removes all locally stored settings, history, and statistics.

Children's privacy

Focus Guard does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
